The Power of the Dhamma: Supporting the 20th International Tipitaka Chanting Ceremony

From December 2 to 12, 2025, the sacred land of Bodhgaya, India, the place where the Buddha attained enlightenment, will be the focal point of a profound global event “the 20th International Tipitaka Chanting Ceremony” .

This monumental gathering is led by the Light of Buddhadharma Foundation International (LBDFI) and seventeen united Buddhist organizations from India, continuing a two-decade tradition. It is a powerful collective endeavor to preserve and propagate the Dhamma and to actively work towards world peace.

What Makes This Event Special?

A Global Unity: Thousands of monks, nuns, and lay practitioners from across the globe, especially Theravada nations like Thailand, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, and others, will join Indian monks in this unified effort. It’s a testament to the enduring solidarity of the Buddhist community.

The Sacred Text: The focus is the chanting of the Tipitaka, the complete collection of the Buddha’s teachings. Chanting this sacred text, the heart of the Buddhist spiritual tradition, is an act of deep reverence, spiritual merit, and preservation of wisdom.

For World Peace: The collective intention behind the ceremony is to generate immense spiritual energy for the well-being of all beings and to foster peace, harmony, and compassion across the entire planet. The positive vibrations created by this mass chanting are believed to extend throughout the world.

Our Good Wishes

The World Buddhist Organization sends its heartfelt wishes to all the participants, organizers, and supporters of this monumental ceremony. May your efforts be successful, may your practice be fruitful, and may the power of the Dhamma bring lasting peace to the hearts of all who hear its echoes.
